Steel Fabrication Technology is owned and operated by Steve Zuffoletti (with a little help from his wife Martha).  “Zuff”, as he’s known, retired as a Lt Colonel after nearly 30 years on active duty in the Air Force.  During his varied career, he served as Master Instructor Navigator and Stan/Eval Navigator on the KC, EC, S, and RC-135 aircraft (Boeing 707 airframe).  He flew reconnaissance and air refueling missions in all parts of the globe logging more than 6,000 hours of flying time. Zuff has also logged hours in the F-15 Strike Eagle, T-43, T-29, E4A (Boeing 747), and KC-10 aircraft.  Areas of operation include but are not limited to Japan, Alaska, Greece, England, Italy, Germany, Hawaii, Guam, Thailand, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Lybia, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Grenada and many more that we cannot talk about. When not flying, he served staff tours at the HQ Manpower and Personnel Center (3 times) and HQ Air Intelligence Agency (formerly know as Electronic Security Command) in San Antonio, Texas. His last assignment was at Lackland AFB as, President, Air Force Formal Physical Evaluation Board where he arbitrated some 8,000 disability cases for active duty, Reserve, and Air National Guard personnel. Decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with 3 oak leaf cluster, the Air medal with 7 oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Commendation medal, the Air Force Marksmanship ribbon, and the National Defense Service ribbon.
